Recycled Crushed Concrete (RCC)

Recycled Crushed Concrete (RCC)

Overview

Recycled Crushed Concrete (RCC) products are manufactured at grades that can be used as direct replacement of quarried aggregate that have typically a higher carbon footprint once transported to your project site.

The ease of compaction, higher yield and high performance of these materials make RCC a better sustainable option for your project.

+ Reduced carbon footprint

+ Ease of compaction

+ Higher yield

+ High performance

+ Lower cost

These benefits have also been acknowledged by client specifiers who have now developed acceptance criteria for the use of high quality RCC products as an alternative to the more traditional finite natural aggregate sources.

The initial production of concrete generates a significant carbon footprint resulting from the high fuel and energy consumption required in cement manufacture. As an industry we can mitigate this environmental impact by ensuring concrete products are re-processed as many times as possible, to maximise the contribution they offer to the built environment.
